Day 15
Wed May 16, 2001

Hi All !
Wow ! Just one more week left. Your know that your having fun if the time is flying by. Well today we took our voyage over to Victoria. Got an early start, weather was a little chilly but mostly sunny. Our boat left Bellingham and traveled through the San Juan Islands and then landed in Victoria Canada.

The blue line is our route going out and the red is our return route.

This was our boat. It will hold over 100, but today there were only 10 of us.
This was great because they let us move all over the boat and they treated us like royalty.

I wanted to drive the boat but the captain
sent me to the rear and told me to be a lookout.
What am I looking for ?

That's when I met this good looking grama
and I talked her in to spending the day with me.

Some how without my help the captain got us to Victoria. We took the tour and bought some ice cream and went to a museum.

On the way back we got to see our first killer whale. He came quite close to the boat. He was probably looking for dinner.

They served us dinner. All the salmon and prime rib we could eat. It was a great meal.

Boy, we've got to get back home to get back on those diets.

We went by another bald eagle.

What a great way to end a perfect day. Are we blessed or what ?

Well, almost perfect. On the way back on route 5, the car ahead of us kicked up a stone and put a small crack in the windshield. That's not going to make Hertz happy.

Forgot to tell you,  yesterday we were looking for the big arch and found out that it was in St Louis. What's a space needle ?

Tomorrow we head downtown for 1 night. That's all we can afford at downtown prices.
Will be staying at the downtown Best Western Executive Inn. Should have good pictures of downtown tomorrow.
Ok that raps it up for today. Thanks so much for all your emails. We feel you guys are right here with us. It adds alot to a trip when you can share it with others.
Love Prilly & Ralph
